Default Recommendations for strong front wheels

I just got an 05 450r and took it up to Crown King for the first ride. It has Douglas 190's on the front now with stock tires. Well, the wheels are now trashed, all bent and leaking at 1 spot at the bead and 3 holes int eh sidewall of the fron tire.

Can someone familiar with rough terran please advise on a nice strong durable wheel/tire combo? I was looking at the douglas Ultimate, but are they the strongest? I think something with a rolled lip would be better. Also, how about some good 6 ply tires, I am rough on a quad and need some tires to handle the rocks.

I had a 440ex with the 190's on it and some 6 ply's and it held up ok, but these things got hammered. Any suggestions?

No, I would not run the Ultimates for that type of riding. I'd suggest something with a reinforcement ring if you're THAT hard on wheels. Hiper tech-3, not the all carbon fiber cf1's, are also very strong.

Has anyone had the all CF hiper wheels crack on them? I would think the CF would be real strong and durable. I looked at the hiper wheels and it just says they are CF, are tehy now all CF?

I have heard mixed reviews on ITP's, thats why I was thinking the douglas Ultimates because it looks like they have a re-inforcing ring in them, but if you guys have had good luck with the Baja and Tech 3, I will have to look into those.

    Thanks

Do not go for the all carbon fiber Hiper wheels, the CF-1's. The Tech-3 are the stronger ones. The CF-1's are 'sport' wheels.

May try the new DWT Evo. It's supposed to be pretty strong.

I ran the ultimate's on my yfz with no issues. Switched to the Tech-3's when an awesome deal presented it's self.

I used to be hard on front rims also until I bought My Hiper Tech-3 for the front, since then I haven't hit anything with them...funny how spending alot of cash on something will make you use it properly. i have a set of Hiper CF1A's(stronger than the originals CF1) on the rear and have no issues whatsoever. They are stronger than the stock wheels and alot of other aftermarket wheels and if you break one of these I am sure that you would have broken one of the other ones. Granted the Tech-3 is the strongest wheel they make but IMO unless you are a pro rider landing massive air all the time you will be fine with the CF1A's

Know any local places that might have the ITP Baja's or DWT Ultimates? I need to get wheels and tires. Thanks for all the suggestions.
