Actually we don't see too many axles break there. It is the smallest part of the axle but when axles break it's more common at one of the snap ring grooves toward the center of the axle. The problem you will run into more often when the hub nuts come loose is that you will wear down the splines on your wheel hubs from them moving. That's why I strongly encourge people to get in the habit of checking thier hub nuts and locknut after every ride, that and buying an axle with a FULL lifetime warranty.

I'm dealing with the same issue with mine. I kept tightening the axle nuts but still noticed a wobble so I figured bent wheels - replaced the wheels and there's still a wobble. Now I'm trying to figure out if the nuts are still not tight enough or if the axle is slightly bent?

If there is a wobble it's more than likely either a bent axle or bad bearings in your carrier, or just an illusion

    Default LSR Sucks

Never Buy anything LSR they have poor quality since they fired most of there welders and powder coaters they went to cheaper production which means lower quality. They use steel from China and not USA steel i can tell you that all of my buddys that have LSR parts....steering stems, axles swing arms they break, lock nuts coming loose ect i have busted 2 lone star swing arms snapt in half i had another welding shop look at why and they told me cheap metal and poor welding i own walsh now and not one crack or anything....buy Walsh, Leager, RPM, Houser much better quality.

Wow. Rip on a site sponsor? Good plan...

Been running LSR axles for years with zero issues. Now running the LSR nerfs and LOVE 'em. In my opinion, a stem is a stem, but this LSR one is much prettier than the others. I have friends who run the LSR frames and beat the ever lovin poopoo out of them without problem one.

Dude, everyone is entitled to their opinion, and mine is that you're WAY off base on this one...

wow so you must be an ex employee or something. yes lsr did lay off some employees when the economy took a dump....does that surprise anybody? show me 1 company that didnt. i guarantee you that ALL of our steel is made in the USA, just like all of our products. if you dont believe me then come on by and i can put you in contact with our steel mill in michigan that our supplier gets it from. as far as our parts breaking, i highly doubt you broke a swingarm in half, and if you did it was probably from a nasty crash. i wont bad mouth any of the top companies like walsh, houser or anybody like that. they make good products but they are no better than ours. and we stand behind our products. plus we are not going anywhere so our LIFETIME warranty means just that. we will not be dropping off the face of the planet anytime soon so you can be sure that we will be here to help out riders and handle any warranty issues. thanks

I did a lot of shopping for axles before I settled on LSR for my YFZ.
I have seen an Axcalibur snap on a landing - the big step up at Speedworld, but the guy had cased it hard and who knows how many other hits it took.
But I can tell you that after looking it over, this axle is a thing of beauty. Strong and Chromed the manufacturing quality is top shelf along with all the other manufactures listed here.
Short of making the axle to heavy to be practical, every axle is going to bend or break under enough abuse.
Ultimately the lifetime warranty did it for me.
Knowing that I was supporting a local company and one that I could literally take my axle back to if I have a problem was a bonus

    08 Raptor 250 - GYTR Pipe
06 YFZ450 50th SE - Laker Plastics, Hydrodyn +2 Arms, Lonestar Rear End, Big Gun Pipe,
    - it's a racer
