I just read this post and I'm intrigued. There is talk about cost but I looked at the Stateline site and the entry fees weren’t too bad last year. The parts are a little pricey, but Rocky Mountain has Durablue sway bars for $370 and the Duro's cost around $60 each.

I also found a couple local sites related to this and last year P1 had several races (I saw at least 6) and quads are welcome.

Also, here is the national forum:

Anyway, assuming my finances are in order I would love to give this a shot considering I road raced cars before I started riding quads. If any of you guys decide to do this or hit practice often let me know and I would probably be willing to spend the money on parts and hit up the race in Nevada. We might even be able to carpool or something as well.

The only bummer is this is the same race weekend as ITP Round #2 at ACP which I was planning on but this is something unique and different.

I could probably even use this setup to finally run Pikes Peak considering that they seem to be paving more and more of it (~50% is paved).

The weekend can get expensive but I'll continue to do it at most all costs because in the 25 years I've been racing quads (I'm not fast, just old) it's the most fun I've had yet! The entry fee's aren't that bad. The hotel rooms are SUPER CHEAP! I can't remember but some nights were as low as, I don't remember, $30? They'll have discount codes available soon for Buffalo Bills. Every pit needs a fire extinguisher AND it has to be tagged by the Nevada Fire Department. They inspect it and put their sticker on it if it's good. That's usually $10.00. Or, you'll have to buy an extinguisher from them for whatever the going rate is for one at the time. Parking is the most expensive part because they measure how long your trailer is and you pay per foot. If you have a pickup truck, won't be too bad. If you have a Toy Hauler or Race Trailer, it could cost you a few hundred smackers.
The whole weekend is a blast though. They sometimes have a band, they've had freestyle quads doing back flips, seems there's always something going on.
If your going to buy a new swaybar, look at Rath Racing and ITI Performance Motorsports. Rath has a slick Carbon Fiber Tube and ITI has more adjustability available than you'll know what to do with. I've run both, flip a coin.
If your going to buy used, try Panicci's used one for $200.00. He was so slow on the TT that I'm sure it's like new.
As for the Duro's, you'll most likely be able to buy them right at the track for "USUALLY" a very competitive price. Plus, the ones at the track will be the lighter, softer "Race Compound" vs the harder compound ones RM sells.

And like Bobby said, "It's at a Casino!" PLUS, it has a kick-azz Roller Coaster!

Ha Ha , it's not my bar, my brother's. I have the ITI, which IMO is better than the Rath. But this Rath bar is special!!!! so come buy it.

    Default Stateline Supermoto

I'll be flying up to Stateline to spectate at least one of the days. The supermoto stuff is awesome! I bought a bike to do Pikes Peak last year and ended up at P1 for some tarmac practice. Efinbees and lowrider (I think) were both there and we had a little supermoto race. They ripped me up until one of their engines blew but what a blast.

Jeff, If you are thinking Pikes Peak, I can tell you that in all my years of racing a lot of different things, nothing compares to PP. E-mail me if you want some first hand info on the peak (michael@mtai.net).

I wish there were more flat track/supermoto opportunities in Arizona.

    See you in Stateline.

PM me for my number or post here if you are going. I'm definitely game. I'm thinking I am going to do the Stateline race and Pikes Peak as well. I just got a Durablue sponsorship and DWT can get Goldspeed Flat Track tires so I'm golden.

Michael, thanks again for all the information.

Hmmmmmm, now THAT sounds interesting. I'll have to talk it over with my wife, I'll think she'll like that idea better than Baja or Vegas to Reno (though I'll still try to sneak in the V2R race
