When i went out there the other day it was tore up like you were talking about before, When i got out there today the outer edges were still rough but where people had rode it was smoother. It was also half way packed in to a hard surface. He asked me to rip it up and when i did it is just real clumpy. I draged it with the bucket and it helped break some up and it was smoother. At the end of the day I told scott i think the best thing would be to roll it back in and run the track packed, he wants to run the cushion so we will see how it goes first.

As for now he says there will be a race this friday
    practice at 6pm
    race at 730pm

$10 to get in the gate
    $25 First class

I didnt talk to him yet about how much for the pro class

If anything it would be a good time to check it out and if it doesnt go the way we want with the dirt and conditions, we could talk more about packing it agin.

He's stuck on Friday night, eh?

I will try to make it out there. I will be coming with more of a supermoto setup, though, if I do.

i'd like to go out there but there is no way i could do friday. ya i would run nobby tires and the bike as tall as you can get it. narrow up the rear end as well. im still not sure i want to spend the money to race on a track like that. i dont understand why he wants to run a "cushion" track. im sure he would get a lot more people if it was hard packed like it used to be.

Yeah for now its this friday, Im trying to get ahold of some of the motorcycle guys and ask why they want it like that. All i can say is please come out and try it and get a good show at this first one and if it doesnt look good then we can all be out there and say hey we want it hard packed agin.

I have told him we should pack it but he swears they want it soft, The only way were going to get that is with numbers. I think the way the track is now , maybe take a little off the big jump and pack it in and it would be sweet. Thats just me though.

If nothing else you could all come out friday night and say i suck at what i did to the track.

Ok, i talked to Dan today, Now that the big truck race is over( wich i must say was great) He is going to get a grader on the track and get the oval smoothed out and packed in. On the morning of the 16th or 17th,,, or both we would like to try to get a group together to go ride it and practice and see realy how it is. As far as i know he is still looking for someone to run the place, I belive there is one guy that wants to get small cars out there and knows that he would need atv and dirtbikes to to make it worth it.

sorry about the dates,, the right ones are on here now

yeah, you could probably go this saturday night, but the track might still be a little rough, not sure if it will be graded by then. The only other problem is the lights still arent working, so i dont think it would be to good to go out at night. Trust me i just want to get out there and run on it, I almost have my yfz all broken in so i cant wait to get back out there.

    from abcmotorsports.com
"Yes we are putting our plans together to re-open The Oval @ Speedworld . A tight 1/4 mile(1295' around the top). Our immediate focus will be on small car motorsports(mini sprints, modlites, dwarf cars). Our plans also include a 1/10 mile oval on the inside for karts & 1/4 midgets. We are also looking at other opportunities for economical ways for all to partipate. Currently the surface is our biggest issue and we are in search of quality clay. We plan to start holding practice and races the first of June. I know your next question is can we run midgets. The answer is maybe. I know there have been midgets on the track for testing. So it's something that could be in the future."
