Transponders for ITP Series

Does anyone know whats up with the transponders for ITP this year? I heard they were going to use them but have only heard that if they do, they will rent them to us for $20.00 for the day.

It will be cheaper to buy one if they continue to use them year after year. Thats 180 a year to rent and i think you can buy them for 120 to 140.

Supposedly you can't use your older transponder, there is a newer one out probably the same "new" one worcs is using this year. I would rather just buy one but can't find out where

Yes i believe all races classes in the ITP series will be running the transponders.... I hope we can just buy them, cheaper in the long run!

I emailed ITP. They said hopefully they will have the transponders for round one and for sure round 2 and after. I'm not sure which transponder, I asked but have not heard back yet.

Lori from ITP emailed back and said it will be the same transponders as the new ones Worcs is using. They are $150, it came with a wall charger and car charger. They have been pretty nice at Worcs, results are instant and you can follow live lap times in the pits via the internet.

Don't know about ITP.

I bought mine for Worcs. They are planning on using them for 8 years.
