I know Coon #77 Ran a 400 at the firebird Cup and I think the 1st few SW races.. best to ask him

I think his name on here is coondog77 Not 100% on that

Also Mitch is running a LTZ400. I am not sure if he ever ended up racing anything or not

I ran my 440ex untill the mid point of this year. Depending on your level of riding it could be ok, they handle great but your giving up quite a few HP to the 450's. My 440 is around 39-42HP, some of the 450's put out 52-54 HP pretty easy. In my GP races the 450's didn't seem to have any advantage but on a MX track out of the corners is were you will see the power difference.

    Ditto...

I still run my 400EX (416EX) from time to time... and I am still enjoying it after 10 years now!!! (even on the MX track! )

I had a Z 400 went to a trx450r, self explanitory, i raced it a few small handfull of times... It was fine in straights but bogged down sooooo bad in the turns, and didnt have the low end... It had suspension, full yoshi, intake and was jetted properly, it was set up for mx riding, and i wanted more power, and if you went from a 450 to a 400 i dont think youll like it, just save your time and money if you ask me

If you do want a 400 though I will sell you a fully built one. The whole chassis is a fresh rebuild. Drop me a PM if interested. It's just sitting in my garage.

i competed on my 426 EX for 2 years in the 450 beg and nov class. you have to know how to ride the bike to its potential to be competitive though. i upgraded to a used 450R and honestly i miss my 400, but the new bike is busted, so that may be why. lol i do like the extra power the 450 has though.
