Default Omega: another neck brace joins the market

Has anyone seen these in town anywhere?

I really would like to try one on. I was at Cycle Gear and finally tried on the XL size of the EVS RC-Evolution. I really liked that one but with just the brace on, no helmet or chest protector I felt, and looked like, a gopher stuck in a hole.....

Put on my helmet and I would not be able to turn my head at all.

Appearently my neck is not as long as most. (I knew it was thicker than most. )

From other sites, those that have actually worn it, and ridden with it, like it.

From motorcyclesuperstore's site. Be sure to click the 'multi-view' on the right side.

I just found that CycleGear has them on their site. Need to call the Mesa store to see if they have one in stock.

No frontal protection from what it looks like, just side, and back. I like my Leatte a lot, and only ridden with it twice dont take much to get used to it.

The plan was to get the RC-EVO, but unfortunately, it just doesn't fit me well. Hoping this one will.

I dont think how you look is as important as how well it works. I am using the VERY EXPENSIVE Leatt brace. I know some have said there are bad things that can happen or they dont do what they say they will but i have had NO problems with mine at all!

Yeah, same here. I like the "wrap-around" protection of my Leatt and it does not really inhibit my movement at all. I have unfortunately crashed three times while wearing it and all three times resulted in me ramming my shoulder and/or head into the ground. My last accident at the Snowflake pre-run a couple weeks ago actually broke the chest-to-shoulder-connection piece of my chest protector because of the impact. I had some bruises where the Leatt jammed the protector into my upper arm and shoulder but nothing broken and no cuts or scrapes. I'd rather be protected than damaged It was and is worth the $400.

I have to put my .02$ in about the EVO, after casing a jump at the track last week.

I could actually feel my head and helmet compress into the neck brace, just before I slammed my head into the handlebar pad. The impact had me seeing stars (little white flashes) for a few seconds and my neck was SORE for the next few days. I have no doubt, that things would have been MUCH worse without my EVO.

I did notice when I first bought it and started wearing it, that I can no longer turn my head around to look behind me when racing. I have to wait until I hit a corner to see if there is anyone right behind me. The neck brace is slightly more restrictive, but well worth the money.
