Default O-ring on A/F Mixture Screw

Okay guys, I thought I'd be a little thrifty and install my White Brothers A/F mixture screw myself and think I did it right, but I have I question or two for you experienced modders.

When I took the old A/F mixture screw out, I dropped it about two inches on the side of engine. When that happened, the spring and o-ring separated from the screw. So, I am not quite sure where I would put the stock o-ring on the new White Brothers model.

Since it fit the small end of the new screw, I slid it up to the ridge just below the threads (see stock pic below) on the new screw. As such, the spring would push against the o-ring against the ridge.

Is that the right place for it? If so, if I only dropped the stock screw about 2-inches, how did the stock o-ring fall off if it were to be located in the same place?

Wasn't there a washer to go along with the spring and o-ring though?

I didn't find a washer. That must have also separated when I dropped it. What would the order be then?

    Washer, o-ring, spring, screw
    spring, o-ring, washer, screw
    spring, washer, o-ring, screw

    ???

From inside of carb out should be spring, washer, o-ring, screw.

So to install you'd put the o-ring, washer, then spring on the screw and install!

    Crap!

I guess I will have to go buy a new washer for it and redo the whole thing again. Looks like I did the right order without the washer though.

    Thanks for your help.

Here is a photo of the correct assembly. Rudy at DFR stocks all the parts....so if you are missing something. The aftermarket screws are now FINALLY being sold with a new spring (better than stock), and new washer and o-ring.

Ok when i took my stock A/F screw out there was no washer... Just a O-ring. The top of the stock honda spring is flat like a washer. My new A/F screw came with spring, washer, and o-ring installed in that order.

The o-ring probably stayed stuck down inside the carb Joe. Thats what mine did.
