Default White Brothers A/F Mixture Screw

Several months ago I purchased the White Brothers A/F Mixture Screw and have yet to install it. I had heard on another board that some folks who have used this type of screw had problems with them backing out and falling out while riding.

Have any of you had any luck using this type of A/F mixture screw? If so, is there any additional precaution I could take to help prevent it from falling out while riding?

I ran one for a long time with no problem. Got a new carb recently and it has one also. I don't know why some people have issues. Maybe because they run it like 3 turns out instead of putting in a bigger pilot. Who knows!

I had one guy recommend a tiny drop of blue locktite - don't go crazy with it. Did you ever do that?

Well... I remember putting silicone over the stock Air/Fuel screw to keep from falling out, but I have not put silicone on my aftermarket Air/Fuel screw.

Now that I have said that, I most likely will have a problem...

If it means anything, I think I too have a White Brothers one... And have had it for over a year now.

I don't think I would use blue loctite on it... I think you will be eliminating the purpose of this screw.

I remember looking at the stock screw and the White Brothers one, and noticed that there is more threads with the White Brothers before it got to the tip... Allowing more threads in the carb than the stock screw.

    Good luck!
