Default Where to start... check the carnage

Went riding yesterday, was gone about 45 min and started getting a flat tire, went to the closetest air station and went back out... rode right past my truck, made a 180 deg. turn and was headed back twards my truck on the trail and broke my chain. I had a case saver on my bike, aluminum pro design, and when my chain broke it pushed my case saver straight through my cases. Kinda sucky, I got a new chain and sprocket kit for christmas and hesitated puttingg it on until I did my frame swap.

But what im looking for is a place to start. Do you guys thing I should try to buy a used motor, buy the left side engine cover and left case or mabey something I havnt thought of yet. Or anyone that knows of someone that has a motor for a 05 trx450.

    Take a look.

and after I moved the case saver, when it broke it blew out two of the bolts that hold the engine cover on.

Luckily I was with in litterly 10 ft of my truck and I wasnt stranded in the middle of the desert yesterday.

    Thanks for anyhelp

Is the left side case actually broken or just the stator cover? Cheapest route would be to get a new stator cover and helicoil those 2 damaged engine bolt holes.

Not a very big piece of the inner case broke, can I get it welded or anything to keep me from buying a new one?

I just got back from Ace buying some JB Weld for my case, lol

Mine isn't actually cracked through yet though. If mine was like yours, I'd replace it.
