    What he said.
What year is it? There is a billet gear set available for the 08+ years . If not. The Yoshy and Ae been ATP tranny services have been doing good for a few people.

Yeah. I would do the billet gear set. last I checked they were $550. Well worth it from what LOT's of people say
I had a 06 and 07 so I was not able to get the billet set.
    Good luck.
The tranny was the main reason I sold my LTR's good quad though

I lost my 3rd gear because of a faulty Shift Pin Kit from BCS. I replaced my tranny gears with OEM and haven't had any issues. I've also heard of a few people w/ the billet gears say they still lost 3rd gear. I don't know that there is enough information to say unequivocally that billet gears are better than OEM. Just my opinion...

Head on over to http://www.ltr450hq.com and do a little searching, lots of good info on specifically on the LTR.

Yeah, It's a hit or miss on if it will last or not.
Steve hasn't had any trouble from when he had his replaced, has he?

Good luck. Hope it gets fixed

Nope, Steve's is running fine and he spent the extra $250 to have Yoshi polish his gears.

    hey guys,

i was riding at speedworld a couple of weeks ago and i believe i blew up my transmission in my 06 ltr suzuki... i plan on getting the quad apart sometime this weekend hopefully and taking a look and what went wrong with this transmission... i did a lot of research over on ltrhq.com, didnt know if i could find some contacts here in AZ that might be less expensive.

Couple of questions i have are...
what is the cost of sending the transmission gears over to yoshi, do the harden the gears or just polish them?
does anybody have some good contacts that i could get a set of transmission gears that i could order?
