    Default trx bogger

I have an 04 honda trx 450r. It seems like a simple air/fuel mix issue...but i know nothing about hondas or this quad. Haven't ridden it or messed with it enough to dig into it. Here's my problem. Last time I rode it the bike ran good. Took it out last nite and it ran like crap. Almost seemed like it was running with the choke on. It'd pop n sputter and all kinda crap. It never cleared out like a flooded issue. Air filter is clean. I haven't messed with anything since last ride. Any ideas? I work all day today and would like to ride again tonite after work...thanks

Was curious about that possibility also. Also heard the accelerator pump goes out on em? How would I diagnose that? How is it adjusted? Sorry for the dumb newb questions but this stuff is new to me. Thanks

How much time has gone by since the last time you rode it and now? Maybe the gas went bad

Less then a month since last time I rode it. My other bikes and my jeep sit longer then that before the gas goes bad. The fuel petcock was open when I got it out tho...not sure why since I usually run the bike tiil it runs out of fuel before I park em...pulled the filter last nite. Runs the same with it off. Put fresh 91 in it. Same thing. Pulled spark plug n it looked good. No buildup. Wasn't burned excessively. Wasn't wet. Looked good to me. The electrode is really small...but its a uniform shape so I think its suppose to be that way.... annoying me...and I hate workin on it in the dark

twist the Carb towards the left side of the quad and remove the float bowl. see if it is sticking. You can also check the needles while you have that part off.

Or just remove the whole thing. get new gaskets and clean it out.
It could be gummed up and just needs cleaning

I leave(left) my fuel petcock on 100% of the time and never had a problem longest it sat was little over 1 month and started right up. I dought that is the problem or part of it

Ill give it a try...the bike started right up. And still does. It just spits n sputters as your revving it. And seems like it revs out really early. And it has a helluva backfire on letoff...
