trx spitting oil

I was at the dunes this past weekend and my 06 trx 450 started to spit oil everywhere. The oil level in the sight glass was a little less than half way. There's probably at least 1/8 of a quart of oil all over and it looks like it was coming from the carb. Has anyone else had a problem like this? Or know what it possibly could be?

There is the crankcase vent tube that mounts by the carb that will spill oil if the quad is positioned upright for transporting or even during wheelies. No way that oil can come out of the carb. That leaves it to be the vent tube. Do you still have the factory airbox in place?
