    Default ltr bogs when...

last night i went to speedworld, and everytime i would jump, and as soon as i was in the air it would bog and even when i landed for about a second, it only happened in the air and landings, no where else.

    could this be because of...
    bad gas?
    bad fuel filter?
    bad connection somewhere?
    or what?

i need to get it fixed before sept. 18 i plan on doing the itp

It might be the fuel filter, whenever mine did that i cleaned the fuel filter under the tank and it was good. i think they're like $30 bucks new.

What Bieniek6 said. I had the same problem and it was the fuel filter. I bought a fuel filter "kit" from Cernics Racing.

There's also a ton of stuff on the forums about this:

I used to have a link to a step by step on this but you basically remove your tank and there is a cage on the bottom and you have to carefully remove some small screws to get to the filter. I wouldn't recommend cleaning it. You could also buy one from a cheaper OEM outlet such as bikebandit.com (it is $44 there). If you are careful you can re-use the O-ring but they are ~$18. Also, if you use race (leaded) fuel it will clog these things like no ones business. Even if using unleaded gas I would suggest using a funnel with a filter such as the one shown at the link below. It will help it last much longer, especially if you store your gas in one of those red containers as they build up a lot of dirt over time.

Feel free to hit me up if you have any other questions.

Good to know. I had a similar problem last week at the dunes. I had both a bad connection on my battery and an issue with my fuel filter. The battery fix was easy. Now I need to work on the fuel filter. Thanks for posting this info.

It's your fuel filter, the same thing happened to me, filter is about $45 and about an hour to change.
