what are the differences between a rugular sized exhaust and shorter exhaust?
what do they do different as in performance?

Talk to the guys at DFR, they like to chop a few inches off of a DASA exhaust and it gets them like +3 HP or more. Keep in mind that it comes at the price of a few decibels too. There's a thread on it somewhere in here.

Yeah. It's gonna make it louder than hell. I think Bobby or Rudy have a 6" DASA and it's LOUD.

It would make sense, a shorter pipe allows exhaust to escape faster. Potentially increasing HP.

The length of the exhaust effects the 'power band' due to changes in 'back pressure' and the 'pulse frequency'.
