    Default motor help

    ok so today i went to change the spark plug because it was really hard to start. took out the old plug and was really black. was putting a new one and and went to snug it up and was loose i didnt even snug it really tight. i pulled the plug out and it broke the threads of the plug off in the head. how do i get the threads out? what should i do. anybody want to help lol. im going to practice sunday so trying to get it fixed by then. thanks

    ha no i threaded it in easy till it was getting snug then went to tighten it up and this happend ha

    sounds like you need an E-Z out. but i would recommend taking the head off first. the last thing you want is metal shavings in your motor. yikes!

    They make a tool for that. Auto zone or checker should sell it.
    You need to get the threads out. Like coondog said. It may be best to take the head off to reduce the amount of metal that may get into it if you need to drill anything,. go to Auto zone, NAPA, checker and see if they have the tool for it. Hell call a few dirtbike places

    i got it out today with an e-z out. the whole piece came out and looked with a flashlight and didnt really see anything bad. i just used a socket and rachet insead of a drill.

    If you have a piece of clay, gum or similar, put it on the end of a piece of wire and 'dab' it around on top of the piston as best you can. You will be suprised what you might find.

    That would only get the big chunks that are not sticking to anything. And you would need to have the exhaust valve open to get airflow, and a good seal around the spark plug hole. So probably not a good alternative.
