I have a vapor on mine and the fan kicks on at 213 degrees and usually starts to cool off immediately. It is normal for the fan to cycle on and off every couple of minutes once the engine comes up to temp. When mine turns on it will run for about 30 seconds then shut off for a few minutes if just left to sit and idle for a while. The only time mine comes on when I am moving is if I am following Elder Geek down a trail and he is not moving very fast

The clip would be on the needle, it controls part throttle fuel mixture.

    I see how it is!

Mine rarely comes on, (yfz) maybe on a hot +95' day in the dunes and maybe once at the boulders during the summer.
