    Default Hinson BTL slipper clutch

Anyone ever ran the Hinson BTL set up? I have the whole kit, just trying to decide if I want to keep it and drop it in my bike or send it back. I have read good and bad things about it, just curious to see if anyone on here has an opinion.

All I can comment is on a slipper for a sportbike. You will get a little less compression braking. But i am told by alot of people. running on on the quad really helps with traction in the braking bumps on the track. Due to not as bad of compression braking force the tires will not jump around as much and allowing them to stay on the ground so you can get a little more traction.. I would run one but they are costly

hope that helps some and my grammer/spelling is understandable

Nice work Brent. Lay off the sauce and you can actually form a complete, coherent sentence.

Works great for MX racing, but not so well for OFFROAD racing due to needing that extra engine braking coming too hot into an unknown corner. For the extra added cost of the slipper clutch, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone lower than an A rider. I just don't think a B or C rider would benefit from the additional cost..... too many other mods that will yield a higher "bang for your buck". Also, there is a greater chance of getting hurt with a slipper clutch due to the decreased amount of braking that one might be used to....especially if they don't have YEARS of 2-stroke racing experience.

    Ahhh......so tender.

If it make you feel better, I could change my answer to "yes, it will make you faster to the point that you will have to buy a larger trailer to carry home all those extra $3.00 AMX trophies that you will start winning if you use that slipper clutch".

Lie to me, treat me bad, make me write bad checks...

I guess I will return the Hinson and go with the supercharger instead.

They're the biggest waist of money for a quad. Nobody runs them for a reason. THEY SUCK!

Now, because I feel bad that you were taken advantage of, I suppose I'll give you $500.00 for it. Just bring it to ET and I'll bring the cash.
