not sure what i did wrong...

my quad was running fine till today. i had to replace the handle bars because both sides were bent (another long story) really bad. i put all the controls back where they needed to be and also replaced the oil. then went to start it up, reved the gas and as soon as i applied a little gas to it, the motor dies? like the title says...i'm not sure what i did wrong. any ideas???

did you wait till it was warmed up? Did you just go from nothing to all the way pinned or ease into it?

Sounds like an "out of gas" situation. Check your petcock, fuel level, and toggle your choke a few times to make sure it isn't stuck in the 'on' position.

something must of happend to the saftey wire that goes into your throttle assembly. it makes it so the bike will start but you can not give it gas. look and see if anything came unpluged. i cut the two wires and sottered them together. if you took the wire off and didnt put them together it wont run!
