trx engine mods

im gettin ready to do some mods engine mods on my 05 trx i know the crf carb makes a big differnce but would it be worth to put in the crf cam or should should i just save my money and do like a hot cam??? also i got a advantage performance rev box i have heard some stories of them "burning" out .. any one heard of this??

First step is to take that rev box out. First of all, you dont have a cam in there to need the extra rpms, and second, those cheap rev boxes actually perform worse than stock.

For the money, the Hotcam Stage 2 is very hard to beat. Its easy on the valvetrain and makes great power.

I hear the 02 CRF cam is a very good chose as well? Anyone else hear about that one?

Yes, there were a few years of the CRF cam that were better (more aggressive) than others... but they're pretty hard to find now.

For $115 you can have a brand new Hotcam.

I agree, Get rid of the cdi box, Go back to stock or run a quality cdi, like vortex. Hotcam stage 2 works well weve been running them for years. I would also build the head if you have the cash, upgrade the valves and seats, your wallet will thank you later!
