    Default trx cdi problems

    just wonderin if any one has had problems with the oe cdi boxes burnin out .. ran in this problem last spring at the dunes ened spendin 170 bucks on aftermarket cdi kinda sucked but bike runs great and got a little more power to... ive heard the yami's doin but not hondas so wanted to know if theres an explanation for it??

    Never heard of this being an issue.... my OEM still works fine!

    To date, I have not witnessed an OEM TRX CDI go bad, but I know some carry a spare one... "just in case".

    weird! wonder what caused mine to burn out? ive posted same thread on the trx forums and no one had an explanation.. ive talked a mechanic at canyon honda he didnt even know..

    do you have a kill switch on the quad? If so , if it's not hooked up properly it can fry the cdi.
    My wifes 07 took out the cdi first , then the stator! All cause I had the wrong wire grounded! Expensive lesson

    Ive heard of other people doing that, so dont feel bad.

    Never seen a TRX cdi go bad. A few Raptor/YFZs I have seen.
