    Default 04 yfz 450 relay clicks

    my 2004 yfz 450 all of a sudden does not wanna turn over the starter, the relay in line with the positive cable just clicks. anybody had an issues like this before?

    check the fuses near the battery. i had one of mine blow and it did the same thing.

    battery on that quad went bad alot, but that battery was brand new when you bought it

    batt has 12.9 volts and both the fuses are good. im gonna rob my brothers relay off his yfz to test and see if its my relay and go from there

    relay was good pulled the starter to bench test it and the contacts on the inside if the starter are reaally worn and corroded. will only spin if helped by my fingers and does not put out what i assume it should with 12 volts to it. gonna see if it can be rebuilt or check into a new one or maybe even a kickstart swap. anybody run one and have any suggestions

    Most racers pull the starter to save weight so you should be able to find a used one.
