alright guys, lost a lot of compression on my 06 LTR, its at about 60 psi..so with that said im thinking of ordering a piston for it.. are je products any good?

Do you know WHY you lost compression? head gasket?
JE are good products. I personally dont like idea of going high compression UNLESS you want to be working on it all the time. The reliability goes out the window then.... IMO

I'm not a fan of JE. I prefer CP.
Everyone has their favorite though.

well, im definately starting to get into mx racing..but id also like reliability as well. so should i just do a stock piston and an intake cam with a tune? i was just planning on going with a 12.5:1 compression ratio so i could keep running pump gas. and im pretty sure its my rings. when i got the bike i found out that it had a lot of dirt inside the intake boot. so i cleaned it..so last night i was going over my bike (raced on saturday) and i found a lot of dirt.. not dust but dirt. so i did a compression check and i have 60 psi. ive heard cp is better, or je is better and venom sucks. so im just asking around before i buy something.
Go with the JE! I'm running the 13.8:1 compression JE piston in my 06 suzuki! I've had great luck with them. Just make sure if you change the valves DON'T RUN KIBBLEWHITE. Those valves suck. Ever since I've switched to Ferrera valves I've never had a problem.
are you still on pump gas too dillon? i dont think ive seen you fill up with vp? i wont be doing valves this round unless i have to.
I had a JE in my 450R, but when the crank bearing let go I had to replace it along with everything else in there. I never had an issue with the piston (it was a 13.1:1), but I have heard some stories about them cracking. I went back to a stock piston and am just as happy.
Yea you can never really go wrong with stock, but sometimes the stock parts are more expensive than the aftermarket ones. Just do your research before you go spending money
yeah so far a stock one with rings and a pin, is gonna be around 150... where as a 12.8:1 is at 160 so idk
