    Default LTR motor build?

Ok I will finally have the cash to rebuild my motor after the tranny blew up on me! Every gear in the tranny was toast! And the shift pin actually cracked my case as well! But that's all I'm replacin! But what kind of break in period should I do?
    Thanks

Thats great to hear Brabham! You doing that motor yourself? Holler if you need a hand, I am sure Kody and Nick will give you a hand! Hope to see you out at the track soon.

so what do you want to know about the LTR engine?
I had the same thing happen to mine at firebird. all gears but 2 of them wer done. cracked the case in 4 spots.

I ended up getting a yoshi stage 3 engine with a stock pistion. I endedup ordering the flywheel puller if you need help..

also. I was told by a engine builder to check the flywheel inner lip. those magnets on there. if you can feel a lip on them they flywheel is done

I know one thing for sure Alan, you want the rings to seat quick and the best way to do that is to ride it like you would on race day. High revs through all the gears with out lugging the motor. Stay away from a constant rpm in any gear and you also want to let the motor rev down under it's own load.

Since you're doing a bottom end also I'd at least do 2 or 3 heat and cool down cycles just idling. This is how I broke my motor in when I rebuilt it with a new crank last year.

what he said, You sould ride it like you stole it than let it cool down

when you 1st start it let it completely warm up than cool completely off 2 times
