    Default 02 Raptor valve problem

    i got a 02 raptor i just replaced a valve spring and i put it all together and started it up shut it down it would not start again so i took it apart and the same valve was bent again anyone know why it would do that?

    I would guess the drivetrain is not in sync. Did you check all the index points when you put it back together? Even on parts you did not remove?

    ya i made sure everything was in sync with it im not sure what it is could it be the valve guids

    The timing must be off somewhere if the valve is kissing the piston like that.

    the would make my valve hit my spring and bend it?

    Oh...the spring itself is getting bent? Never heard of that one before.

    ya it is the valve i ment and i try to time it and its like a hair off either way could the timing chain be streched or am i missing something

    you sure you are on TDC when you are timing it? if not the valves may be slightly open and when you time it "THINKING" you are timed you actually arent! that is where i would start...
