Headpipes becoming loose can be solved by:

.) Always replace the copper head pipe flange crush washer (washer between the head pipe and the head) anytime you remove or replace a head pipe. A must if changing to a different head pipe.

.) Torquing the head pipe nuts slightly tighter then factory specs is VERY common

.) Make sure all exhaust bolts and subframe bolts are tight... any vibration into the exhaust system (even back at the can) will pass that vibration to other parts, and loosen things up.

.) Double-nutting the head pipe studs is great if you have room... that may mean switching away from the factory nuts if they are a tall nut and won't allow a second nut to be attached to the stud (not enough threads)

.) Drilling the nuts or studs and saftey wiring them is a 100% cure for loosening head pipe nuts

.) Some pipe manufactures have more of a tendency to "break apart", for lack of a better description
