    Default Stage 2 HotCam on 2000 400EX

Quick question, does the stage 2 Hot Cam require the Reverse Compressor Cam and One Way Stop mechanism(The thing right behind the Timing Gear)? I am building the Top end to my 440EX and the Stage 2 Hot Cam that was on it didn't have these parts, are they required?

    Thanks

no you are actually not supposed to use them with the cam. whatever you do dont try to take the Gear holder off. make sure you take the plunger and decompression spring out of the head. you will see a small hole. i wish i had my pics i could help you better. Good luck.

Damn it Man, I could have fixed the quad and been Yesterday. But hey, it didn't come with the instructions so I will give myself a break. Thanks my friend. Which means that I should probably not put in the spring and plunger either right, no need for it I guess.

well without the one-way mechanizm, the spring and plunger will end up floating around the head possibly dammaging your new cam. so just use some needle nose pliers and pull em out.
