.... in the fact they have air moving inside, (PC), and under, (friggy) them. And what does dust and dirt do when its in the air? After awhile it settles to the floor. But before this happens some of the dust & dirt gets inside both of these devices.
We all know we need to clean out the condenser on our friggys so they run at 'design head pressure' thus allowing the friggy to cool down the beer!Or soda for the youngin's.

PCs need proper cooling too! CPUs video cards, RAM, Hard Drives all get hot when they are running. Keeping the dust cleaned off goes along way in keeping things running at temps they are designed to run at. Heat is electronics worst enemy!
So take a moment, shut down your system, and take the left side panel off. If it looks anything like this one. It's way, way, way over due for a cleaning.
If the inside of the case looks like this, chances are 'inside the registry' is just as bad. Give me a call so I can get things cleaned up for you, (inside the case and inside the Operating System), before the summer heat arrives.
This is a Dell Dimension 4700. The large board is the video card, The smaller one below it is the modem, the copper colored fins is the Heat sink for the CPU, (the hottest part of a PC). The bottom of the case is the same color as the hard drive rack on the right. Note the small "dust drift" at the very bottom of the motherboard? There where a few more of these throughout the case. After I opened the case up I was suprised the client was not noticing reduced performance due to the CPU slowing down. The newer CPUs will ramp back their speed when things get to hot in a last ditch effort to keep from smoking it completely. Once the smoke comes out you can't put it back in...![]()
