Default can i make vista not auto-restart on updates?

was just in the middle of typing something, and hadnt realized it was doing some updates and all of the sudden, boom, everythings gone and it restarts and its all gone, Id have liked to have to choose something like "restart now" or "restart later" like on my win2k, think its that, havent used that pc for quite a while

I have something about this. Let me find it.....

Here are a few ways to do it. Be carefull if you get into the registry!! One can really muck things up in there.

I actually saw it but havent tried it yet. havent really used this computer much except for checking email, and its usually on when I get to it, so havent had to worry about the updates when it starts upo. maybe tomorrow.
