Arizona Quads is an ATV only community that was formed due to the lack of support for ATV related events around the state. Our group consists of all types of Arizona ATV riders including racers, trail riders, duners, and utility riders.
We welcome all types of ATV enthusiasts!
ElderGeek, site sponsor and resident computer nerd is also pretty handy with the tools and fabrication. Many members know he will consider building components and parts before buying them. He is a self admitted ‘Tight Wad’. He has fabricated many things from car hauler conversions to a lowering kit for his quad to race TT. He just posted a “How To:” on replacing an exhaust flange. I am sure you have, or have seen, an exhaust flange that is far from straight. More >>
Trent Kendall's Baja 1000 Recap
Posted by Jeremy on 2009-12-16
For this years baja 1000 I invited any of my friends who wanted to go and experience it. I knew my primary chase truck would have my usual team of Adam and my dad so I was set. My friends Paul and Matt from my Mustang club came and Eric, Dave, and Rick from RidingArizona.com all came along for the journey in Matt’s truck. We left my house at 3am on Thursday morning in order to make it to Ensenada by 10am for contingency, tech and registration. The trip was uneventful aside from the directions/address I got off the internet to our hotel were completely wrong. We were driving around way too far west in the barrio when our hotel was a few blocks from the start/finish line downtown. What's better than getting to do Baja once? Doing Baja twice!
Trent is doing the Baja 1000 coming up and sent us a link to his story about heading down to pre-run the course. Check out Trent's story:
The www.kendallrace.com team consisting of Adam, Noah, Dave (DGP Photography)
and I went down to pre run for the Baja 1000 on Friday. Since I will be
racing at night I wanted to pre run at night so we left Avondale at 9pm
and hit the trail at about 3:30am. My pre running plans looked like
they were drawn up by a strung out crackhead. I tried to sleep in the
truck but I only got about 3 hours of sleep. We unloaded under the
moonlight and hit the trail by 4am. I had spent all week getting my
quad prepped and fixing stuff that broke during the previous weekend’s
race so I was looking forward to riding. More >>
